EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Support with questions and problems relating to Polarion (ALM) and Teamcenter (PLM) to ensure smooth system operation.
- Administration of the Polarion/Teamcenter ticket system and independent processing of incoming inquiries and problems.
- Server-side administration and configuration of the systems on Linux (preferably Ubuntu) and Windows, including installation, updates and regular maintenance.
- Creation and configuration of workflows and custom reports in Polarion using the Velocity Scripting Engine and HTML/CSS.
- Testing and implementation of automation solutions for user workflows using scripts in JavaScript and the development of extensions/plugins in Java or Python.
- Implementation of server and data migrations to ensure stable and secure operation (including administration of Apache2, MySQL and SVN/GIT).
- Organization and implementation of smaller user trainings for Polarion within the R&D department.
- Support of the server infrastructure using VMware vCenter (both Windows and Linux) as well as all relevant network components.
- Monitoring of the application and network systems including monitoring as well as prompt processing of alerts and troubleshooting.
- Active participation in IT projects, especially in the area of PLM.
YOUR PROFILE
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration or a comparable IT qualification.
- Sound knowledge and practical experience with ALM/PLM systems, ideally Polarion and Teamcenter.
- Confident handling of Linux (preferably Ubuntu) and Windows.
- Ideally experience in the field of virtualization (e.g. VMware, Proxmox).
- Programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, C#, C++ and experience in JavaScript.
- Distinctive, solution-oriented and independent way of working paired with high team spirit and reliability.
- High sense of responsibility with regard to IT security and data protection.
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
