Role Overview
The Regional Business Development Manager Rail (RME) will drive sales and business development across the RME region, focusing on India, Türkiye, CIS, GCC, and South Africa. The role requires close collaboration with local authorities and partners to expand HIMA’s rail business.
Fluency in Turkish (native) and English (business/executive level) is essential. If no suitable candidate is found in Türkiye, Dubai may be considered as an alternative location.

Expectations and tasks
- Lead and manage proposals and tender processes to fully meet customer requirements
- Develop winning strategies aligned with local rail standards, regulations, and codes
- Identify, negotiate, and close business opportunities with support from regional and global teams
- Manage personal sales funnel, including accurate revenue forecasting and activity tracking in HIMA’s ERP system
- Stay up-to-date with industry tools, trends, standards, and regulatory frameworks
- Collaborate proactively with Regional Sales Teams and Global Account Managers
- Apply structured risk management to sales proposals to ensure competitive and profitable offers
- Prepare high-quality tenders, quotations, and commercial proposals
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and presentations
- Support business development across multiple international markets within the RME region
Your Profile
- University degree in Business or Engineering preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Proven track record in business development or sales, ideally within the rail industry
- Experience in customer-facing roles with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical abilities
- Experience preparing high-quality tenders and commercial quotations
- Knowledge of rail safety applications is advantageous, including:
- Rolling stock
- Signalling
- Level crossings
- Interlock systems
- Other safety-critical protection and control systems
- Ability to communicate complex technical and commercial concepts clearly
- Self-starter with analytical mindset, results orientation, business acumen, and team collaboration
- Solid understanding of business development and sales processes, with focus on winning strategies
- Commercially astute with experience interpreting contract conditions
- Familiarity with HIMA products, technologies, and services is a plus
- Legally authorized to work and travel in all HIMA regions
- Valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel 50%+ within the Middle East region; occasional global travel may be required
- Successful completion of background checks and regular drug/alcohol testing
