The Regional Sales Manager will lead and oversee sales operations across the North & East region, driving business growth through strategic planning, client acquisition, and effective team leadership. Expectations and tasks
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sustainable growth in the region.
- Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building a strong pipeline of potential clients.
- Key Account Management: Manage and nurture relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term retention.
- Market Penetration: Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to uncover opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the regional sales budget, optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact.
- Reporting: Deliver accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to senior management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, technical, and product teams to align strategies and provide comprehensive solutions to clients.
Your Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Experience:
- 15+ years in sales management within the industrial automation or safety systems industry.
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- 5–8 years in a similar leadership role, with demonstrable experience developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capability to inspire and drive performance.
- Sales Expertise: Exceptional sales, negotiation, and account management skills, with deep knowledge of sales processes and methodologies.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the safety automation industry and market trends.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
